About The Melodic Improvisation Framework

What is the Melodic Improvisation Framework? A guitar improvisation method built around musical understanding rather than memorized patterns. Who is Nils? A guitarist, composer and educator with more than 40 years of playing experience, including formal study, professional bands, jazz performance, teaching and composition. Why is this method different? Music is a language. Notes are vocabulary. Phrases become statements. Improvisation should tell a story. What should I do next? Watch a free lesson, join the email list or learn about Book 1.
